My name is Jen and I’m so excited to be a part of the team here at Per Ignem! I found CrossFit in 2011 when I did my first intro class at a local gym. I loved the challenge and I was embraced by the community. I was immediately hooked! CrossFit quickly helped me see my capabilities were beyond what I had previously thought possible. CrossFit built my confidence and that transferred to all areas of my life. It wasn’t long before my passion for my own fitness and life transformation turned into a desire to help others experience these same changes. I began coaching in early 2012 and it has been one of the best parts of my life. I love meeting new people and getting to know them and their goals . It is one of the greatest things to watch someone accomplish something they didn’t realize was possible and I love getting to be a small part of that journey.

MEAGAN BURNS | HEAD COACH
Hi guys, I’m Meagan and I am super excited to be a part of the Per Ignem Team! I am originally from Raleigh, NC and I have been coaching for 8 years. Growing up I was never really into fitness until I ended up getting a job as a front desk receptionist at a CrossFit gym. After working there for a few months, they finally convinced me to start working out and I instantly fell in love! I really enjoyed the community aspect and the fact that I had this new support system that constantly built me up no matter how well I did in the gym. I knew right away that helping people and coaching were two things I wanted to do! I started coaching at a gym in North Carolina and eventually ended up getting a job working for CrossFit Headquarters on the training team for the Level 1 and 2 seminars—an absolute dream job! I love being able to help people reach their goals and achieve things they never thought were possible! I am so grateful to get to do what I love every day and I am excited to be a part of/build the community here at Per Ignem!

KELLY CAVE | COACH
My name is Kelly and I am thrilled to be part of the team at Per Ignem CrossFit. I haven’t always enjoyed fitness, in fact I regularly got in trouble for skipping gym class in 8th grade. My CrossFit journey began when I found The Phoenix in Denver in 2013. I was at a point in life where I felt I had no direction or goals and Phoenix helped me discover strength and self-confidence I never knew I had. CrossFit was something I instantly fell in love with, I was excited to learn and perfect new skills. I was grateful to have a room full of people cheering me on, and it didn’t take long for me to start cheering others on myself.I’m very passionate about helping others discover what they’re truly capable of. I love seeing the look on people’s faces after their first CrossFit WOD, or getting their first pullup, box jump, a snatch PR, etc. There’s a special sort of magic in the space where “I can’t” and “I can’t believe it” meet. When people do something they didn’t think they could, they stop limiting themselves by what they previously thought possible and amazing things start to happen. That feeling is what drives me to be better every day, and I’m so excited to share that with the members at Per Ignem.

LEE SOARES | COACH
Lee found CrossFit over 10 years ago and brings 10 years of CrossFit coaching experience and 15 years of personal training experience. Lee has a love for many forms of fitness and has spent many years active in martial arts, Taichi and rock climbing. Lee is always striving to learn more as a coach and has had the opportunity to work with Chris Henshaw, Elijah Muhammad and Chris Spealler. For the past three years Lee has been lucky enough to be a part of the Ultimate Hawaiian Trail Run and has helped to bring CrossFit to the kids of Hawaii.
