MIKE BRADY | GYM MANAGER AND HEAD COACH Mike began his journey as a coach when he was a student at Northwestern University. During that time he was working in the Emergency Department at Highland Park Hospital, while studying for a career in medicine and going to CrossFit classes whenever possible. He quickly saw the consequences of a sedentary lifestyle in the local community and decided to seek a career in wellness, where prevention allowed people to truly live, not just simply be alive. Prior to attending Northwestern, Mike served eight years in the United States Marine Corps as an Anti-armor Assaultman and later as Chief Scout Sniper at 3rd Battalion 3rd Marines, based at MCB Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. Mike proudly deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom, serving in Fallujah and Ramadi. After completing his undergraduate studies at Northwestern University in Psychology and Biological Sciences, he went on to earn his Master of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Applied Exercise Physiology at the University of Illinois-Chicago. On weekends Mike travels with the CrossFit Headquarters Seminar Staff, teaching the CrossFit Level 1 Certificate Course. He takes great pride in the responsibility of teaching new trainers how to properly implement CrossFit methodology and sharing his passion with others. SCOTT STRODE | COACH I am a PA boy who landed in CO after eleven years in Boston. I found sobriety on April 8 1997. One of the most influential factors in my sobriety was getting involved in boxing and climbing. I have since developed a passion for mountain biking, triathlon, running, cycling, motorcycle touring and almost anything that gets me outside. I pack my winters with ice-climbing. My summers are full of rock-climbing and racing (I ride and run year round). My big passion is teaching, coaching and sharing my excitement for all of these activities with others. So, lets get out and do it!
